Who will attend SLIM 2017?

SLIM aims at offering an international platform for the presentation of the fundamental aspects and research outlooks on food shelf-life. Participants will learn about the latest outcomes from scientific research as well as industry developments, applications and innovations presented to an international audience representing both public and private sectors.

For participants it is undoubtedly a time of great professional growth.

A further peculiarity of SLIM is the fact that the event is being held in different hosting cities, giving the chance to meet different cultures and scientific environments. This eighth edition, in particular, will offer the opportunity to learn more about the South Asian universities and industries which, over the recent years, have proved to be forefront in the food science field.

After scientific conference, the participants of SLIM2017 can enjoy special activity that the organizer specifically planned in order to give the participants unforgettable experiences of Thailand, such as food industry visit, Thai agricultural and cultural experiences (e.g. “Loy Krathong Festival”).

“Loy Krathong” is a nationwide festival and will be celebrated throughout Thailand on the full moon of the 12th month of the traditional lunar calendar (full moon in November for western calendar). Fortunately, this year (2017), Loy Krathong Festival will be on Friday November 3rd, the last day for SLIM2017. All participants could therefore enjoy this traditional festival after hard working in previous scientific session.
