GSICA organizes a series of activities to increase visibility and corresponding to its institutional purposes: to become a real and useful reference point for any matter of research and testing in the food packaging sector. The association organizes updating workshops on the food packaging issues, scientific congresses on the main themes concerning the interaction food/packaging, and other occasions of meeting, thus standing as an effective reference point for any research issue in the food packaging sector. GSICA awards

The group periodically assigns two money awards for scientific productivity: the “Food Packaging Research – GSICA awards”. The grants are given to a young researcher of a public institution (University, CNR, experimental stations etc.) and to a researcher operating in the industrial sector.

The criteria for the assignment of the awards are addressed to the acknowledgement of the candidates’ activity, in favour of the growth and diffusion of the packaging scientific culture.
